CVRDE CELEBRATED DRDO DAY 2017

3^rd January 2017

On 02 Jan 2017, CVRDE celebrated DRDO day at Arjun Auditorium.                               Shri A.V.Ragupathy, Scientist E, Chairman celebration committee and Shri V.A. Sunil      

Vice-Chairman of 18^th Works committee welcomed the gathering. Dr Christopher, Chairman DRDO & Secretary, Dept of Defence Res & Dev addressed the gathering During his address, brought out the achievements of DRDO during the year 2016 in particular to CVRDE for the efforts made on various projects including Arjun MBT             Mk-II,  also brought out the technology challenges ahead for the year 2017.Leader of various unions, associations and JCM facilitated the occasion with zeal.

During his address, Dr P.Sivakumar, Distinguished scientist & Director, CVRDE appreciated  all  the  employees for their wonderful support and excellent performance during the development of various technologies and products during the year 2016.  He also highlighted some of the achievements made in the year 2016; he also praised the efforts taken for the development of Arjun Repair and Recovery Vehicle(ARRV) with production partner as BEML and development of 400 hp power pack for BMP variants with development agency as L&T and progress made in Development programme on 1500 hp power pack for Future combat vehicles.Director, CVRDE also highlighted the progress made during the development of all electric drive development of oil filters for naval applications , development of aircraft bearings and development of landing gears for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle RUSTOM-II.

All additional directors of technology groups highlighted their achievements of their division during the year 2016. Function ended with vote of thanks.
